The hotel offers a well lit secluded parking lot with monitored security cameras, located just behind the hotel.
From I-29 exit 13, drive east on 435 to Ambassador Drive, Make right on Ambassador Drive, follow to the next street, Plaza Circle. Make a right on Plaza Circle, drive up to the hotel at 11828 NW Plaza Circle.
From I-35 south drive to 435 west and exit 36 for KCI Airport. Stop at the light and prepare to make a left on Ambassador Drive. At the next street, Plaza Circle, make a right and drive up to the hotel at 11828 NW Plaza Circle.

Room was dirty; cockroach was running around when we opened the door. Security door was broken. Pick up from airport was late

Won't stay again...cockroaches...not enough towels for 2 people...lamps that don't work....very few outlets for electronics, and the ones that we did find were not easily accessible.

Hotel was OK for the price I paid. Of course, it's just very basic and what I expected. It does need some updates in the guest rooms - outlets to plug in electronics, new bathtubs, etc. Just updated in general. Regarding the shuttle service questions below - I did not use it so just chose excellent since I couldn't submit without it. And I didn't use chat, email or phone support

We had two rooms, one was nice with a good bed, the other had stained curtains moldy ceiling and a rock hard bed.

The Plaza in Kansas City was absolutely horrible. We took pictures....it was that bad. Basically little to no food at continental breakfast, no fire extinguishers, broken railings on patios, horrible bathrooms and that was just a brief summary.

Unacceptable, huge disappointment that this hotel was even available on a site like this. Dirty, broken and no amenities whatsoever. The security and safety was compromised by the doors being broken. They put us in a room where no AC was working, by the time we changed rooms I was about to lose it.

The plaza hotel was very run down, my room was in need of a fresh coat of paint, the carpet was old and rippled. When I checked in, the parking lot was closed because of repaiving, which was not mentioned at the booking website. Luckily, I parked my car in front, and it was not bothered while I was gone. Very poor communication with the booking website and the hotel.

Worst stay ever. I have used this hotel multiple times over the years and I have to say this was awful. The hotel has never been the cleanest but this time it was filthy and smelled bad from the front door on. Our floor reeked of marijuana the entire time. They had changed ownership and didn't have our reservations. They checked 4 of us into a king room and the desk person had no idea what kind of rooms were in the hotel. When I asked about a particular type of room I was told that I had a really cheap rate. Upon our return I phoned for the shuttle and not only did I have to call twice, and it took over 1/2 hour, but then we got to load our own bags. I will not be coming back.

Due to trying to provide service while undergoing major renovations, the facility had no bar, restaurant, or other amenities. When questioned about any of these, everyone was told that they could go to another hotel in the same area to be able to watch the Royals and have a drink, for example. The trash in the vending room was overflowing, the hall reeked of smoke and one overhead light flickered constantly. The fact that I was not made aware of the situation prior to booking makes it highly unlikely that I will ever come back.
